Try a tour which is a little different and explore one of the most exciting and renowned LGBT friendly areas of the capital.
I will introduce you not only to the beautiful views of Hampstead heath, but also bring you the opportunity to network with Londoners who pass their evenings here.
Meeting in the late afternoon, I’ll give you an introduction to the area over coffee on the high street. Hampstead Village, once famed for its literary and arts scene, remains historic and picturesque. Then we will head over to explore the heath itself. Historically a meeting-place for London’s gay community, despite the absence of bars, restaurants or clubs, this area remains one of the most famous and frequently sought out cruising grounds worldwide. In addition to the heath, which provides fantastic views of the city, we will also visit the famous male-only bathing pond. Located in the East section of the Heath, Highgate bathing ponds encompass a changing area with springboards and the lido itself. Besides the pool there is also a separate nude sunbathing area. After an introduction to this unique area, we’ll finish with a pint in the well-known gay pub, the King William IV.
